Return on total assets (ROTA):
A measurement of profit in relation to the total assets invested in the business, regardless of how these have been financed, calculated by dividing net profit before interest and taxes by fixed and current assets multiplied by 100 to give a percent. The result indicates the profit the company has made as a percentage of the total amount invested, where the assets are financed by equity and debt.
