Inelastic Demand:
A situation where a one percent price change leads to a less than one percent change in quantity of service or product demanded. Relatively large percentage changes in price cause relatively small percentage changes in quantity demanded. Inelastic demand means that quantity demanded is not very responsive to changes in the price. An inelastic demand has a coefficient of elasticity between zero and minus one.
