Complementary goods (or products):
Associated consumer goods and services; e.g., cars and gasoline. One indication that goods are complementary is the cross-price elasticity of demand (CPED). If CPED is negative, the goods are complements; if CPED is greater than zero, the goods are close substitutes: a decrease in the price of product A causes a decrease in the quantity demanded of product B.
